Hunter Groff, 23, grew up in the close-knit dance community of his mother’s studio in northern Vermont. He began teaching at 13, developing a passion for instruction while training in competitive jazz and hip hop. After moving to Boston, he danced with Northeastern University’s Kinematix Dance Troupe for four years before joining Project Criss Cross in 2023. He later spent six months training in San Francisco under Chris Martin, Alfred Remulla, and The Company. Hunter values dance as both a competitive discipline and an expressive art, but above all as a space for community, connection, and collaboration.
